At The River

I just returned from Ocean City, MD.  The weather was great but I couldn't wait to return home to see the greys.

I think the warm weather followed me home.  Today on our walk, I took the greys to the river.  They like to dip their feet in the water.

At one point, Maggie walked out a little too far and she had to swim.  I saw a look of panic on her face so I had to give her a little help getting back to dry land.

How do your dogs feel about water?  Do they have a kiddie pool or a favorite swimming hole?  Drop me a note and let me know.

Stay cool!

We have a kiddie pool, but there are varying reactions to it. Bunny will get in and lay down in it, and on occasion Blueberry will, too. Lilac won't even think about it. Morgan sticks her head in and blows bubbles. What can I say, she's a Shepherd?

Love the photos. You have a lovely area to hike in.

I have a kiddie pool for the summer months when it reaches well over 100 degrees. They just use it as a big water bowl.

When we were visiting a friend who has a pool, one of the girls just walked right out onto the water thinking it was a hard surface. Boy was she surprised when it wasn't and she was suddenly wet. Never went near it again. :)

I've got a kiddie pool for Frankie and Beryl which they use as a big water bowl. They'd rather drink the yukky water out of their than fresh water, go figure? Frankie loves to swim in the river but not in the sea, he doesn't like the waves. Beryl is just learning to swim, but I've had her in the river enough that she isn't afraid of water so if she gets out of her depth she won't panic ... hopefully!
