The only negative factor is the fireworks. :-( We hate them! Maybe our mom will buy us some Thundershirts to make us feel better. Mom might even get to sleep through the night.

Long Weekend
Ah. We love a long weekend! They are great for long walks and long naps.

We've had very good luck with the Thundershirt here! It will get a workout tomorrow night, though. Hopefully during our own private dog party in the basement, we won't even hear most of the fireworks. Dad always puts Grease in for us on the TV down there.
We have a statue just like yours and he's wearing a bandanna this weekend, too! We call him Stoney! :P
