New Year Updates

We're Back! Just In Time for Some New Year Updates!

I have no good excuse for being gone so long...just lots going on and nothing too interesting on the DIY front. The boys have finally finished football...
Panther enjoys dressing the part...

Maggie is scheduled to have a few teeth pulled. She has always had tooth problems.  I am hoping this helps.  Her gums are always bright red.  Ouch.  I feel so bad for her.  The vet has her on prednizone, which helps, but I hate to keep her on it for a long period of time.  I'll let you know how this works out for her.

Do any of your greyhounds have problems with their teeth or gums?  What types of treatment(s) have you tried?  Please let me know.

We’re participating in this Saturday’s Pet Blog Hop, hosted by Life With DogsTwo Little Cavaliers and Confessions of the Plume.  If you’d like to participate, please follow the rules and follow your three hosts, add your blog to the Linky and copy and paste the html code into your html editor.  Thanks again to our hosts for putting on the hop!

Good luck with the dental! Our vet gave us Science Diet t/d, which is for teeth. The pieces are huge! We use them for treats instead of for meals. We also you CET mouth wash on them and brush their teeth, although I'm not as diligent about that as I need to be. Greenies and bones are good for them to chew with supervision, too.

Argos has really bad teeth as well, even after getting a dental last year. Our vet also recommended the Science Diet t/d.

Aw, you will do well Maggie! Greyhounds are kinda famous among vets for their dental issues. They are still, of course, perfect!

Beryl's teeth aren't as clean as I'd like and I've got the toothbrush and toothpaste ... and they're both still unopened:( Cleaning teeth and trimming toenails are two things I really don't like doing!

I hope Maggie's dental went well. It's always a worry when they have to be put under!
